英语语法集锦: 动词 + 不定式或动名词之区别 (四)

有些动词加不定式或动名词，不定式或动名词所起的成分作用是不同的，而且其意思也是不一样的。其中，不定式作状语，而动名词则作宾语。

1. Go on

(1) He stopped writing and went on to read. 他停止了写作，然后继续看书。

(2) Casting a glance at me, he went on reading. 他瞥了我一眼之后继续看他的书。

2. Leave off

(1) He left off to write the book. 他停下(其他事)来写作。

(2) He left off writing the book. 他停下了写作工作。

3. Stop

(1) I stopped to watch TV at 9:30. 我在九点半时停下(其他事)来看电视。

(2) I stopped watching TV at 9:30. 我在九点半时停止看电视了。
