有些动词加不定式或动名词时，不定式表示的为特指动作，而动名词则表示泛指的动作。请仔细品味如下各对句子的细小区别。

       1.    Bear

              (1)   I can’t bear to live alone. 我不能忍受要单独生活。

              (2)   I can’t bear living alone. 我不能忍受孤单一人的生活。

       2.    Cease

              (1)   She never ceased to complain about the price. 她没有停止过抱怨物价。

              (2)   She never ceased complaining. 她从没有停止过抱怨。

       3.    Dislike

              (1)   I dislike to get up early tomorrow. 我不喜欢明天早起。

              (2)   I dislike having to work. 我不喜欢上班。

       4.    Disdain

              (1)   She disdained to notice this insult. 她不屑看到受这种侮辱。

              (2)   She disdained noticing the insult. 她不屑看到受侮辱。

       5.    Dread

              (1)   I dread to think of it. 我很害怕想起那件事。

              (2)   I dread falling ill. 我老是害怕病倒了。

       6.    Hate

              (1)   He hated to wait for buses. 以前他很讨厌等公共汽车。

              (2)   He hates getting to the theater late. 他总是讨厌看戏迟到。

       7.    Like

              (1)   I don’t like to go abroad. 我(现在)不想出国。

              (2)   I don’t like watching television. 我(平时就)不喜欢看电视。

       8.    Love

       9.    Neglect

              (1)   He neglected to answer the letter right away. 他忘记马上回那封信了。

       10.   Omit

              (1)   She omitted to make her bed. 她那时忘记整理床铺了。

              (2)   She omitted making her bed. 她总是忘记整理床铺。

       11.   Prefer

              (1)   He prefers to go by train this morning. 他想今天早上坐火车去。

              (2)   He prefers doing it his way. 他总是喜欢按自己的方式做事。

       12.   Scorn

              (1)   She scorns to tell a lie. 她不想说谎。
